Aruba’s uncrowded white sand beaches are second to barely any other. Benefiting from the warm climate of the Caribbean, Aruba offers an endless array of outdoor activities. Admire marine life and snorkel the breathtaking reefs of Mangel Halto or try scuba diving and explore ancient shipwrecks. Discover Aruba’s natural wonders on horseback or on a hike, or take a stroll through the island’s capital Oranjestad. The Island of Hawaii is known colloquially as “Big Island.” This is a fitting nickname, for the Island is twice the combined size of its neighboring counterparts! Big Island flaunts its colors like the plumes of a peacock: fierce reds of magma from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park contrast spectacularly with the bright white snow of Maunakea, while the electric black sands of Punaluu Beach stream into the emerald green of Hamakua Coast’s rainforests.
Dubbed "the crown jewel of the Caribbean Sea", Cozumel is sought after as a breezy holiday destination away from the everyday. Known for its magnificent coral reefs and white sandy beaches with pristine waters, this sun-kissed Mexican island offers plenty of outdoor activities: snorkeling and scuba diving take on a whole new dimension here.
Croatia’s momentum as one of the world’s top vacation destinations shows no signs of slowing down. With a burgeoning infrastructure and more flight connections than ever since its inclusion in the EU in 2013, it has never been easier to visit. Croatia combines astounding natural beauty – in the form of towering mountains and crystalline water along the rocky Adriatic coast – with rich cultural and historical heritage in cities like Dubrovnik, Split and the capital, Zagreb. Add to that the wide selection of water sports and outdoor activities (from sailing and scuba diving to mountain biking and rock climbing), a surging festival scene and exciting and innovative cuisine, and it’s not hard to see why Croatia was the most Googled travel destination of 2016.
The world’s most visited country has plenty to show for its indisputable appeal. The vivid lavender fields of lyrical Provence, the swanky French Riviera (Côte d'Azur), the rocky heights of the north and the romantic charm of its city streets have all captured myriad imaginations – and rightfully so. With its internationally renowned wines and a cuisine that was the first to become part of UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage, it’s no wonder France remains a potent magnet for even those travelers who have already summited the Eiffel Tower.
Centuries of ancient stories surround the third largest island of Europe, Ireland. Historic mementos can be found everywhere, from prehistoric monuments to castles, ruins and the cities of Belfast and Dublin that are steeped in history. Ireland’s landscape offers a diversity that is matched by no other: from green rolling hills to majestic mountains and a dramatic coastline, this island has it all. If you are lucky, you might even be able to catch some Northern Lights in the Northern Headlands. Head down to a pub and enjoy a cold beer with the locals, as there is no better way to get to know the true soul of Ireland than a chat with its inhabitants.
The majesty of modern Italy, successor to one of the mightiest empires ever known, is made immense by its exciting collection of outstanding works of art (some by Michelangelo and Botticelli), ancient ruins and historic spots (Italy contains more UNESCO World Heritage sites than any other country in the world), internationally revered cuisine, first-rate wines, the rolling hills of Tuscany, postcard-ready Amalfi Coast, and islands small and large, with buoyant Sicily and beach-enveloped Sardinia taking center stage.
The hospitality of Jamaica is as world-renowned as its beaches. And apart from the gorgeous coast, Jamaica has many plantations to visit, natures reserves and museums. A trip to Jamaica is not complete without experiencing the reggae music, dancing and flavorful food that is the heartbeat of Jamaican culture.
Initially the island of tribes with mysterious history, Maui, the second largest in the Hawaii archipelago, has become an immensely popular tourist attraction where everyone can find something to their taste. Whether you hike in mighty Haleakalā or take the Road to Hana on its eastern side, or sip on your cocktail at one of the pristine beaches of western Ka'anapali or Wailea, Maui will surely spoil you with unforgettable natural beauty.
As a travel professional, I get a lot of questions about the “do not travel” and “reconsider travel” advisories on the State Department site. Let me be clear: I truly understand that these advisories sound very scary, but they do come with some nuance (as does everything that has the government involved).
I’m also not saying to completely ignore a State Department website, but many countries that have had such warnings, such as Israel and Cuba, also have millions of tourists every year visit safely. It is possible to travel to countries with such advisories safely and securely. If you’re interested in traveling to a country with a travel advisory, it is a good idea to check in with a travel advisor!
More importantly, why should you work with me?
As a Certified Travel Associate with The Travel Institute, I am dedicated to offering the best value while maintaining an emphasis on customer service. I will devote the time and effort into making sure you are happy with your travel options. If you need assistance, I’m just a phone call or an e-mail away. You will receive the immediate attention you deserve.
Making a reservation online or with a big box store will not provide the level of customer service you deserve. If you have time to spend hours on hold waiting to ask your questions or make a change to your reservation, then go ahead and use an online travel agency like Expedia or Costco Travel. But if you want a customized experience, building a relationship working with the same person, then contact me to start planning your next trip today.
